Gilbert’s Revenge

Gilbert's Revenge is a modified MK2 VW Polo Breadvan, which is the brainchild of Rat Bastard Crew founder Russ Smith.

The car features a full air-ride system, which compliments the Steffan BCW wheels perfectly - we love the fitment!  

Gilbert's Revenge also sports a custom paint scheme, all hand-painted by talented artist and fellow 'bastard' Sophie over at Frankenfreckle Kustoms. I particularly like the angular style of the camoflage, which reminds me of German warships in WW2 - a fitting comparison given VW's history!

Heading inside the vehicle, we find hand-made custom metal bomber seats , with the rear seats removed to reveal a full custom boot-build, and an array of other hand crafted items such as the gear knob, gator and the full gauge set up on the dash, as well as some more tasty pieces of Frankenfreckle Kustoms artwork. 

Refreshingly, the engine is completely standard - somewhat of a rarity with these old VW's, but I guess it is a testament to how reliable the older set ups are in comparison with the newer VAG models!
